What we collect, and why
- What you type into the claim form: company name, website address and logo. We need this to publish your placement. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Proof that you accepted the terms: the version you accepted, the date and time, your IP address and your browser user-agent string. We keep this to establish that the contract was agreed and to defend chargebacks and disputes. Basis: our legitimate interest in enforcing the contract and preventing fraud.
- Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive your email address, the amount, and a payment reference. We never see or store your full card number. Basis: performance of our contract, and our legal obligation to keep transaction records.
- A visitor count. On your first visit we set an anonymous, random id in a cookie (
tts_vid, kept for one year) so the visitor counter in the header can count each browser once per day. It contains no personal data and is not linked to your claim or payment. Basis: our legitimate interest in showing sponsors how many people see the site.
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site, and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.
Who processes it for us
- Stripe: payment processing and dispute handling. See Stripe’s own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare: content delivery and storage of the logo files you upload.
- Our hosting provider: runs the website and the database holding your claim.
Some of these process data outside your country. Where that happens, transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses or another approved safeguard.
Published information
Your company name, logo and website link are published on this site, and may appear in screenshots used to promote it. That is the product you bought, and it is public by design. Your email address, IP address and payment details are never published.
How long we keep it
Claim and consent records are kept for as long as your placement is live and then for six years after the last transaction, which is the period we may need them for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. Logo files are deleted when a placement ends, for example after a takeover. Uploads for checkouts that were never completed are deleted straight away.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and complain to your data protection authority. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. Note that we cannot delete records we are required to keep for tax or dispute purposes while that obligation lasts.
Cookies
This site sets one first-party cookie, tts_vid, for the visitor counter described above. It sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe may set cookies that are strictly necessary to process your payment and prevent fraud when you are on its checkout page.
Children
This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing Sponsors will be emailed.
